Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, or similar certification is a plus).
5 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with XERO and other accounting software is preferable
Proven track record of delivering objectives in a fast-paced environment under strict deadlines and consistently high standards
Meticulous with a good level of accuracy and attention to detail is a must
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Willing to travel to other state (JB)
What you'll be doing on the job
Supervise and manage daily finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
Independently manage two full sets of accounts, overseeing the end-to-end process from business operations activities to accurate financial recordings and reporting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable invoicing, and monthly closing activities.
Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements
Monitor staff performance and ensure timely month-end closing.
Oversee and review daily and weekly payments to suppliers and staff claims.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including the review of monthly Profit & Loss fluctuation analysis and preparation and review of monthly audit schedules to support financial transparency and audit readiness
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and internal controls.
Monitor inventory balances and financial transactions to ensure accuracy and alignment with accounting records; conduct periodic stock counts and reconcile discrepancies in a timely manner
Lead and mentor a team of finance staff, providing guidance and support for professional development.
Key point of contact for financial inquiries, both internally and externally.
Support the preparation of financial reports, tax filings, budget planning and audits.
Liaise with Corporate Secretary on statutory compliance matters and coordinate with external auditors to support annual audit requirements and regulatory filings
Undertake any other jobs and duties may be assigned by superiors from time to time.
