What requirements you'll need to be eligible
  • Qualified accountant with minimum 5 years’ post qualification experience within a multinational environment, preferably in luxury goods, FMCG, trading or retail sectors;
  • An exceptionally strong operational accounting background with exposure in compliance role;
  • Strong analytical and numeric skills with budgeting, forecasting and planning exposure;
  • Mature with effective leadership skills with drive, innovation and strong sense of commitment and adaptive to change;
  • Hands on approach to problem solving and the ability to work under pressure;
  • Ability to manage competing demands and prioritize initiatives in a fluid and dynamic sometimes ambiguous environment;
  • Good team player with proven ability to partner with business leaders;
  • Strong computer skills with experience on ERP (JD Edwards, SAP and Hyperion a plus)
  • Big 4 audit training is a plus
What you'll be doing on the job
  • Handle Month-end close, budget & forecast activities for SG
  • Handle SG PSPM reporting and investigate any suspicious transaction in the market
  • Responsible for preparing timely management reporting, including and not limited to review of business performance and prepare variance analysis, to support strategic decision-making process
  • Partner with local and regional stakeholders to understand business drivers, and prepare financial modeling for new business development
  • Work closely with Legal/Real Estate teams to finalise leases
  • Support Head of Finance in process improvement to current internal control and processes, compliance with local regulation and monitoring internal controls for SG MY;
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors and government authorities on audit and tax activities;
  • Support new system implementations (eg. SAP system and further software integration/enhancements);
  • Manage an internal finance team and external shared service to ensure the accuracy and quality of work to be submitted timely;
  • Provide training and guidance to internal finance team where applicable;
  • Other Ad Hoc projects or responsibilities as required.
