- Experienced HR Professional with over 5 years in HR Operations and Shared Services across the APAC region, with deep knowledge of regional labor laws and compliance.
- Technically Proficient in HR systems including ServiceNow, Workday, and the Microsoft Office suite, with a strong ability to navigate and apply complex HR processes.
- Detail-Oriented and Process-Driven, with a continuous improvement mindset and a proven ability to identify and implement scalable enhancements.
- Strong Communicator and Collaborator, fluent in English with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills; additional language skills (e.g., Japanese, Korean) are a plus.
- Proven Track Record in managing complex HR projects and initiatives, demonstrating a proactive, solution-focused approach to challenges.
What you'll be doing on the job
We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable HR APAC Operations Specialist to join our APAC HR Shared Services team based in either Malaysia or Indonesia. This role will be instrumental in supporting the Senior Manager, HR Shared Services – APAC based out of Singapore to deliver a seamless and impactful employee experience across the APAC region, including India, Bangladesh, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Philippines, Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Japan across multiple operating companies.
The HR APAC Operations Specialist is responsible for onboarding and offboarding, benefits, policy creation, and process improvement for associates and other programs covering the entire associate life cycle.
This position will work with the global/APAC HR team, including HR Business Partners, Talent Management, and Talent Acquisition team, as well as with cross-functional partners like IT, Payroll, and Facilities.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for HR inquiries from associates, managers, and HRBPs via ServiceNow, ensuring timely resolution within agreed SLAs, while supporting policy and program development across APAC region.
- Ability to support payroll management for APAC countries and ensure management of our compliance, payroll, benefits, etc. vendors effectively.
- Document HR Standard Work for key processes. This will ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance across our HR operations, laying a strong foundation for our upcoming transformation.
- Drive process improvement efforts by evaluating and assessing existing processes, using data-driven insights.
- Responsible for new associate onboarding including, processing new hire paperwork, background checks, along with pre-boarding preparation, notifications to new associates and to cross-functional partners (IT, Payroll, HR, Reception, Security, Facilities, etc.) informing of new associate start date.
- Maintain accurate associate data in Workday including, but not limited to, new hire information, termination details of associates, updating organizational structure changes, and ensure all processes are executed in accordance with government regulations and local labor laws, work closely with the HRBP in country to fulfill the operational business needs, participate in HR projects.
