What requirements you'll need to be eligible
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical, automation, auto parts, or equipment maintenance industries.
What you'll be doing on the job
1. Production Line Setup, Process Engineering & Issue Resolution
- Establish and commission new production lines to support manufacturing readiness and capacity planning
- Evaluate and define process, equipment, and facility requirements including layout and workflow optimisation
- Maintain, update, and control process documentation (FC, PFMEA, WI, etc.) in relevant systems
- Analyse and optimise production processes based on standard working time and performance data
- Identify, analyse, and resolve process, quality, and equipment deviations using structured root cause analysis
- Collaborate with Quality, Equipment, and Technical teams to implement corrective and preventive actions
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and project implementation to ensure smooth production ramp-up
2. Process Optimisation & Continuous Improvement
- Streamlining bottleneck processes to reduce cycle time and improve flow
- Consolidating or eliminating redundant steps to enhance efficiency
- Optimising manpower deployment to maximise productivity
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to:
- Increase production capacity
- Reduce production costs
- Improve process efficiency
- Enhance product quality and customer satisfaction
3. Equipment Reliability, Maintenance & Tooling Management
- Provide technical support for production equipment and troubleshoot failures to minimise downtime
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including servicing and systematic fault elimination
- Develop, optimise, and implement maintenance schedules and procedures
- Prepare maintenance documentation and train maintenance personnel
- Enhance stability, reliability, and performance of critical equipment
- Design and fabricate tooling and fixtures to support production efficiency
- Manage and localise spare parts sourcing to ensure availability and cost optimisation
4. Manufacturing Engineering & Operational Coordination
- Monitor and evaluate production processes and equipment performance to ensure stable and efficient operations
- Collaborate with property management and internal departments to resolve facility, infrastructure, and process-related issues impacting production
- Analyse production abnormalities, identify root causes, and drive timely corrective and preventive actions to minimise operational disruption
5. General & Ad-hoc Responsibilities
- Handle other tasks assigned by the Hub Manager
