What requirements you'll need to be eligible
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Material Planning, Engineering, or related fields; SQL knowledge is a plus.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel or other similar tools.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical ability.
- A strong sense of ownership and focus on delivering results.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders across different teams and regions.
- Knowledge of diesel engines is an added advantage.
What you'll be doing on the job
- Serve as the primary point of contact from sales team for parts indent and order requests, and devise action plans for urgent support cases.
- Gather and consolidate requirements from the sales and warehouse teams; perform checks before submitting purchase requisitions.
- Provide clear updates on backorder statuses to sales team and customers as well as accurate and realistic estimation of delivery lead times both internally and externally.
- Plan inventory by using company-approved demand forecast models; monitor and identify changes in sales trends, stock levels, and supply risks.
- Work with management to improve inventory processes, forecast models, and support digitalisation efforts.
- Liaise with vendors to know backorder statuses, lead time, latest pricing, negotiations, etc.
