What requirements you'll need to be eligible

Education 
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience 
• Fundamental understanding of software and mobile application development 
lifecycles 
Experience 
• Hands-on experience in manual testing within Agile or Scrum environments 
• Understanding of QA processes, defect lifecycle, and testing methodologies 
• Experience using tools such as Jira, Git, and CI/CD pipelines 
• Exposure to tools like Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify, or similar is an advantage 
• Awareness of how manual and automated testing complement each other 
Technical Knowledge 
• Test case design, execution, and defect reporting 
• Quality assurance best practices across the SDLC 
• Basic understanding of automation concepts 
Soft Skills 
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail 
• Adaptable and comfortable working in fast-paced environments

What you'll be doing on the job

Key Responsibilities 
Requirements Analysis & Sprint Planning 
• Review user stories and requirements to assess testability, coverage, and potential 
risks 
• Participate in sprint planning by contributing to test scope, strategy, and effort 
estimation 
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, and stakeholders to understand 
acceptance criteria and functional expectations 
Test Design & Preparation 
• Design, document, and maintain manual test cases aligned to user stories and 
acceptance criteria 
• Ensure sufficient coverage across functional, non-functional, and UI/UX scenarios 
• Prepare and manage test data required for execution 
• Participate in peer reviews to improve test clarity, completeness, and effectiveness 
Test Execution & Defect Management 
• Execute manual test cases within sprint cycles to validate new features, 
enhancements, and fixes 
• Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and hidden defects 
• Log, track, and manage defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting 
evidence 
• Work closely with developers to investigate issues and verify fixes through closure 
Regression Testing & Release Support 
• Conduct regression testing to ensure changes do not impact existing functionality 
• Support release readiness and provide quality input prior to deployment 
Communication & Continuous Improvement 
• Provide regular updates on testing progress, risks, and quality status 
• Collaborate actively with cross-functional teams to maintain transparency and 
alignment 
• Identify opportunities to improve testing processes and practices 
• Share testing insights and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives 
• Identify suitable scenarios for automation and collaborate with automation teams
