What requirements you'll need to be eligible
- Minimum 5 years exp in supporting Murex 3.1 End of Day batch
- Deep Murex product knowledge: MX.3 Simulation, Datamart, MxML, workflows
- Deep understanding of Murex EOD processes including Trade validation, Pre-trade/post-trade workflows, Market data loads, Feeders, extractions, Reporting etc.
- Strong in scripting: Unix. Shell, Python, SQL
- Tools: Control-M, Autosys, JIRA, Confluence
- Expertise in Unix/Linux shell scripting for job orchestration, automation, and log analysis
- Working knowledge of Shell, Python for custom automation or data parsing tasks.
- Expertise in SQL for: Querying Murex database tables, validating data, Debugging batch issues
Problem-solving, decision-making under pressure
- Ability to Evaluate and improve EOD architecture regularly to reduce latency, eliminate redundancy, and enhance performance
- Ability to Analyze historical EOD execution data for trend analysis and predictive issue detection
- Monitor Murex based support tickets, provide support with all end-user issues, escalate issues to the support manager as needed.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively under time constraints.
- Evaluate and test new Murex modules or plugins that impact EOD, such as new simulation engines or DataMart enhancements
What you'll be doing on the job
- To Prepare EOD drafts based on scope given by Dev and SAs with correct dependencies, in & out conditions
- To schedule, execute and support EOD runs in SIT/UAT environments for Projects.
- Act as Level 2/3 support for EOD-related incidents.
- Analyze and resolve batch failures, job delays, or any performance bottlenecks
- Lead root cause analysis for recurring issues and define permanent fixes
- Serve as the domain expert in Murex EOD operations, including Pre-trade to post-trade lifecycle, Trade validation and market data dependencies
- Provide consultation to development and testing teams regarding EOD impacts of changes or upgrades
- Identify automation opportunities in EOD processes using scripting (Unix, Python, MxML)
- Maintain technical documentation
- Ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements, including EOD signoffs and logs
- Support EOD-related project activities, including upgrades, migrations
- Define and monitor KPIs and SLAs for EOD (e.g., batch completion time, failure rate).
- Perform EOD regression testing after Murex upgrades, patching, or infrastructure changes
- Work with infrastructure teams on server performance, disk space, and job execution time
- Lead war room efforts during EOD crises: high-priority trade breaks, simulation failures, or regulatory deadline risks.
- Drive post-mortem sessions with action item tracking and continuous feedback loops
