Who you'll be working for
The client is a Hong Kong-based bakery chain with over 160 outlets and has expanded to the Greater China market.
What requirements you'll need to be eligible
- 7+ years of relevant experience in system/network/security areas.
- In-depth knowledge in network services, servers, and cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Project management, ability to plan and deliver projects based in timely and within budget, managing scope, risk and resources effectively.
- Experience and ability to align IT infrastructure goals with business objectives and overall organization strategic direction.
- Understanding of cybersecurity, compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR), and disaster recovery planning.
- Ability to use knowledge, sound judgment, and resourcefulness to support the design and deployment of global technology solutions.
- Strong oral and written communication skills enabling the persuasive presentation of proposed solutions and stakeholders management.
- Provides technical leadership and serve as a mentor to junior members.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment.
What you'll be doing on the job
Operational
Strategic Planning
- Develop and implement infrastructure strategies, standards, and procedures aligned with business goals.
- Plan capacity and future technology requirements to support organizational growth.
- Manage IT budgets for infrastructure, including hardware, software, and service contracts.
Operational Management
- Oversee the daily operations of IT infrastructure (networks, servers, data centers, storage, and cloud).
- Ensure high availability, business continuity, and disaster recovery capabilities.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.
- Manage vendor relationships, service providers, and infrastructure contracts.
Security and Compliance
- Ensure infrastructure complies with organizational security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Implement and oversee cybersecurity measures across infrastructure systems.
- Collaborate with Information Security teams to manage risks and incidents.
- Provides consult in crafting user guides/job aides and facilities training of the other members of the team.
Project, Solutioning, Innovation
Project Management
- Manage infrastructure projects such as cloud migration, virtualization, and data center upgrades.
- Research and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency, resilience, and cost-effectiveness.
- Support digital transformation and modernization initiatives.
Enterprise solutioning
- Able to translate business requirements into technology solutions.
- Ability to influence others to collaborate towards a single design.
- Resource planning and project timeline management, documentation, contingency planning and etc.
- Outline support and sustainment of the solution/model for services delivered.
Technical Design
- Includes detailed technical design components needed for implementation.
- Defines documentation of design in alignment with requirements gathered (this can be everything from an app flow to physical design...and everything in between).
- Leads the identification of new services needed (if necessary) to fulfill design and depict rationale for unique use case, POC for validation, etc.
- Provides technical expertise outside of primary domain and works closely with technical architects as a SME on designs for new innovations.
