What requirements you'll need to be eligible
- Diploma in Building or Facilities Discipline from a recognized institution with minimum 3 years' relevant experience, OR ITE/NTC in Facility Management or technical discipline with minimum 5 years' experience
- Technical background in M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) and/or civil/building disciplines with hands-on experience in facilities and project management
- Proven knowledge of statutory requirements and regulatory compliance including local safety, environmental, and building regulations
- Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, PowerPoint, and Excel for report preparation and project tracking
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders including building owners, tenants, contractors, and regulatory authorities
- Availability for site-based work with flexibility to respond to operational needs and work under pressure during critical project phases
- Familiarity with building management systems
What you'll be doing on the job
- Oversee project execution and defect management by monitoring repair and replacement works, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring timely completion of defect rectifications while providing regular progress updates to building owners, FMC, and stakeholders
- Act as the central point of contact for tenant engagement, addressing concerns and minimizing operational disruption during work periods through proactive communication and relationship building
- Champion safety-first culture across all sites by identifying safety risks, ensuring contractor compliance, and driving behavioral changes among staff and partners to improve overall safety performance
- Conduct fire safety inspections within tenanted units, plan inspection schedules, issue engagement letters, perform premise assessments, and escalate breaches to SCDF when necessary as part of your FSM responsibilities
- Ensure regulatory compliance by maintaining strict adherence to client policies, government regulations, internal SOPs, and all safety, environmental, and statutory requirements across the portfolio
- Prepare and submit comprehensive reports including engineering documentation, facilities reports, project progress updates, fire safety findings, and monthly reports to clients within required timeframes
- Attend meetings and inspections with building owners, clients, suppliers, and service providers to maintain strong working relationships and deliver on performance commitments
