3–5 years in production planning or manufacturing operations.
Experience in HVAC, motors, or electronic components is preferred.
What you'll be doing on the job
Develop, maintain, and continuously update master production schedules (MPS) to meet customer demand and committed delivery timelines.
Performcapacity planning to balance manpower, machines, and production lines, proactively identifying constraints and bottlenecks.
Coordinate closely with Production to adjust schedules in response to priority changes, material shortages, or operational disruptions.
Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) in SAP R/3 to ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies.
Monitor and maintain optimum inventory levels for raw materials, WIP, and Finished Goods (FG) to avoid shortages or overstocking.
Review inventory health regularly (slow-moving, excess, obsolete materials) and work with relevant stakeholders on mitigation actions.
Create, maintain, and ensure accuracy of Bills of Materials (BOM) and related master data in SAP R/3.
Generate, release, and manage manufacturing work orders in SAP in alignment with approved production plans.
Ensure data integrity between planning, procurement, production, and inventory records.
Raise and issue Purchase Orders (POs) for raw materials and components in accordance with approved MRP signals.
Coordinate with Procurement and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, address supply risks, and follow up on delays or shortages.
Support supplier performance monitoring related to delivery reliability and responsiveness.
Coordinate with Logistics on overseas inbound shipments of raw materials and components, ensuring alignment with production schedules.
Monitor shipment status, lead times, and potential delays, and communicate risks early to Production and Procurement teams.
Act as the key planning interface between Production, Procurement, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Sales/Customer Service.
Participate in regular planning and coordination meetings to align priorities, resolve conflicts, and support smooth operations in manufacturing plant.
Track production plan adherence, material availability, inventory turnover, and delivery performance.
Analyze data to identify planning risks (capacity gaps, material shortages, demand volatility) and propose mitigation actions.
Support scenario planning and “what-if” analysis to minimize production disruptions.
Support Lean Manufacturing, 6S, and continuous improvement initiatives related to planning accuracy, inventory optimization, and workflow efficiency.
Contribute to process standardization, documentation, and compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
