Must-Have:
• 3–7 years of B2B technology sales or business development experience
• Proven track record in Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure sales — with GCP experience strongly preferred
• Active network within the MY and/or SG startup and VC ecosystem
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, SaaS, and how startups evaluate and adopt cloud platforms
• Demonstrated ability to close deals and manage complex sales cycles
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent in English; Mandarin is a strong advantage for the Malaysian market
Nice-to-Have:
• Prior experience in a startup, VC-backed company, or accelerator program
• Existing relationships with Gobi Partners, Jungle Ventures, Monks Hill, 500 Global, or similar regional VCs
• Familiarity with MDEC, Cradle Fund, or MaGIC startup programs
• Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Cloud Digital Leader, Professional Cloud Architect)
• Own and grow a portfolio of startup and VC-backed accounts across MY and SG, driving Google Cloud adoption and revenue
• Build and nurture relationships with venture capital firms, accelerators, and startup founders to position Google Cloud as the cloud of choice
• Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities through consultative selling and solution mapping
• Partner with Google Cloud’s internal teams (technical, marketing, partner) to co-develop go-to-market strategies for the startup segment
• Represent the company at startup ecosystem events, demo days, and VC networking sessions
• Track pipeline, forecast accurately, and report on BD activities using CRM tools
• Meet and exceed quarterly sales targets aligned to the 60/40 OTE structure
