Who you'll be working for
Australian-headquartered provider specializing in cybersecurity solutions and managed services (SOC, network security, cloud security, consulting).
What requirements you'll need to be eligible
- 5+ years in a hands-on Level 2/3 engineering role (network, security, or infrastructure)
- Strong experience with networking technologies (routing, switching, firewalls)
- Fortinet experience highly regarded (e.g., FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)
- Experience with managed services, MSPs, or client-facing support roles
- Comfortable working with ITIL-based processes (incident, change, problem management)
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills (both spoken and written English)
- Proven ability to work independently and lead in a remote setting
Nice to have
- Certifications: NSE4+, CCNP, or equivalent
- Exposure to SIEM, EDR, or SOC environments
- Experience with shift-based support or 24x7 environments
- Familiarity with ticketing tools (ConnectWise, ServiceNow, JIRA, etc.)
What you'll be doing on the job
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support across a range of networking and security technologies
- Act as the regional technical lead and initial point of escalation for offshore operations
- Assist with onboarding, mentoring, and training of new Malaysia-based engineers
- Manage and respond to after-hours incidents and support tickets, including maintenance windows and change implementations
- Monitor SLAs, escalate issues as needed, and ensure quality and consistency across offshore deliverables
- Collaborate closely with the Australian-based team and contribute to continuous service improvement
- Document processes, maintain runbooks, and improve knowledge management for the team
